WHO WE ARE

Forbein Black Clothing, a distinctive clothing brand celebrating  Black-American heritage through a unique design of t-shirts, hats, and hoodies carefully crafted to represent the storied past. With a deep appreciation for the richness of black culture, the brand aims to provide fashionable apparel that empowers individuals to proudly embrace their roots and showcase their appreciation for the strength, resilience, and beauty of their heritage.

INSPIRATION OF GENESIS

Our beginning was complex and somewhat visceral. We didn't start out with thoughts of starting a clothing brand.

FORBEIN BLACK came about organically from the soul of (Louis), one of our founders. The concept manifested itself in the year 2014 but wasn't put into action until 2020. In 2020 we were experiencing a world wide pandemic. The frantic pace of everyday life had come to a grinding halt. People were confined to their homes with nothing to do but focus on media reports. The information being reported was either pandemic related or another horrific injustice to black people. After watching the continuous systematic injustice to people of color, Louis began having justifiable militant retaliatory idealisms, e.g., thoughts of revenge. He understood acting upon those kind of ideas wasn't a realistic option. That being said, he still needed an avenue to combat his anxiety. He began expressing himself through "his" interpretation of cultural graphic design. This turned out to be the positive therapeutic release he needed to cope. With each new creation, his focus began to shift towards his art, instead of retaliation. In an effort to share his creations with "our people" we decided to put his art on apparel and accessories.

That's How Forbein Black came to fruition.

WHAT'S IN A NAME

We wanted a brand name that  makes a bold statement, while paying homage to the past, present, and future. We think the name does that.

Our name is also synonymous with the indifference toward our ethnicity.

MISSION

Our goal is to uplift, support and inspire black generational unification.
